Thank you for using Moody services, which include the Moody Discord Bot (the “Bot”) and the Kick.com by Moody browser extension (the “Extension”). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data when you interact with either service. By using our services, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

We are committed to using the information we collect responsibly and ethically. We assure you that none of your data is used for malicious purposes. Moody Bot Privacy:

Definitions:

• Guild IDs: Unique identifiers assigned to Discord servers where the Bot is used.
• Guild Names: The names of Discord servers where the Bot is active.
• Channel IDs: Unique identifiers for specific channels within Discord servers.
• Role IDs: Unique identifiers for user roles within Discord servers.
• User IDs: Unique identifiers for individual Discord users interacting with the Bot.
• Message Timestamps: The specific times and dates when messages are sent in Discord.
• Message IDs: Unique identifiers for messages sent within Discord.
• Nicknames and Usernames: The chosen names of Discord users as displayed in the server.
• Avatars: The chosen profile pictures of Discord users as displayed in the server.
• Message Content when a command is run: The text and information contained in messages when users interact with the Bot’s commands.
• Last Deleted Message Content: The content of the most recently deleted messages within a server where the Bot operates.
• Last Message Edit History: Records of changes made to messages after they are initially sent.

Data Collection and Usage:

Data Collected:

• Commands Data: The Bot collects and stores data generated by your use of its various commands. This includes, but is not limited to, user interactions with admin, automod, moderation, fun, boards, economy, family, anime, information, games, invite, profile, stats, TTS, and voice commands.
• AFK Status, Marriages, and Other Data: As previously outlined, the Bot may collect and store data about AFK status, user marriages, and other necessary data for service provision.
• User Generated Content: Data such as usernames, roles, messages, reactions, and other content generated or provided by users while interacting with the Bot.
• Message Content: When a command is invoked, we store that message content for a maximum of 30 days for debugging purposes. For edited messages and sniping messages: Guild IDs, Channel IDs, Role IDs, User IDs and Message IDs are all stored for our system to aggregate values to find data for a maximum of 2 hours. Username changes are logged in order for the “usernames” command to function. Users can clear this data themselves at any time. Avatar changes are logged in order for the “avatars” command to function. Users can clear this data themselves at any time.

Use of Data:

• The data collected is used for the operation of the Bot’s functionalities, including but not limited to role management, auto-moderation, game play, user interaction, and customization features.

Data Sharing and Disclosure:

• The Bot’s developers and maintainers do not sell, rent, or lease your data to any third parties.
• Data is not shared with third parties unless required by law or to comply with legal obligations.

Data Security and Retention:

• We implement robust security measures to protect your data. This includes the encryption of all potentially sensitive user information data at rest. Our encryption practices ensure that your data is securely encoded and safeguarded against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction while stored in our systems.
• We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the Bot’s services or as required by law. This approach to data retention is designed to hold onto your data only for the timeframes necessary for the effective operation of the Bot and for compliance with legal obligations.

User Rights:

Data Removal:

To have your data removed/deleted you’ll need to send a request to [email protected]. After the request is successfully received, it may take us up to 2 weeks to get back to you. Note when emailing, please be specific with what you want to remove/delete, also you’ll need to provide us with the proof of ownership of your discord account in order to get the data successfully removed/deleted. For safety reasons if you don’t verify ownership of your discord account within the request, the request will be closed, and data won’t be removed or deleted.

Data Access:

You can send us email at [email protected] and request to receive your data that we are storing. Note that you have to be specific with what data you want to be provided with, you’ll also have to provide us with ownership of your discord account within the request. After the request and verification have been successfully received, it may take up to 2 weeks for us to get back to you and provide you with requested data. If we don’t receive the proof of your ownership of the account, we won’t be able to provide you with request data and the request will be closed.

Children’s Privacy:

The Bot is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the Bot or provide any personal information.

Kick.com by Moody Extension Privacy:

The Kick Extension is designed to enhance your streaming experience on Kick.com while respecting your privacy. This policy outlines how the extension handles data and what information is collected.

Data Collected and Processed

• Local Preferences: Feature toggles (Light/Dark Mode, Declutter Mode, Incognito Mode), UI customization, and module states are stored locally using Chrome’s storage API.
• Authentication Data: Session tokens for moody.gg login integration, cleared on logout or reset.
• Viewer Session Data: Temporary viewer presence for real-time viewer lists, watch time tracking, and navigation patterns within Kick.com. All session data resets upon logout or leaving the stream.
• Video Download Processing: Video URLs are sent to moody.gg for processing initiated by the user. Metadata (title, channel, duration) is used for download organization. No video content is stored permanently.

Remote Code and External Resources

• Remote code is only loaded from our secure domain moody.gg.
• This includes visual themes and the download processing interface.
• No third-party scripts (e.g. from CDNs) are used; all libraries are self-hosted.
• Remote code operates in sandboxed environments with restricted permissions.

Web Navigation Tracking

The extension monitors navigation within Kick.com to:

• Detect page transitions for feature reinitialization
• Support Kick.com’s single-page application behavior
• Maintain consistent feature availability between streams and sections
• Track session durations for personal watch statistics

Navigation tracking is strictly limited to Kick.com and does not monitor any other domains or browsing activity.

What We Don’t Collect

• No browsing history outside Kick.com
• No passwords, cookies, or private Kick.com account data
• No keystrokes, mouse movements, or fine user interactions
• No personal information beyond what’s required for optional features
• No background analytics or third-party tracking

Data Usage and Security

• All settings and preferences are stored locally unless syncing with your Moody account
• Video download URLs are processed securely and only on user request
• No data is shared or sold to third parties
• Authentication uses secure, official endpoints
• Stored data is cleared on logout or by user request

User Control

• You may uninstall the extension at any time to remove all local data
• Settings and preferences can be cleared via the extension popup
• Session data is removed on logout or page exit
• Feature-specific data collection can be disabled from settings

Chrome Web Store Compliance

This extension collects the following data categories as disclosed to the Chrome Web Store:

• Authentication Information: Login tokens and session data
• Web History: Limited to navigation and session data within Kick.com
• User Activity: Settings toggles and feature usage within Kick.com
• Website Content: DOM elements and page sections on Kick.com for UI enhancements

Contact and Policy Updates

By using the Moody Bot or Kick Extension, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and use of your data as outlined herein. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Bot or Extension after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. In cases of serious violations, we reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban access to our services.
